Coaches - heads-up

We’ve had quite a few enquiries over the past couple of days asking if we’re running a coach down to Wembley. Unfortunately we aren’t offering this service, but would direct you towards the number of supporters clubs that are.

Details of these can be found on ClaretsMad.

If you have no luck, you may want to search through the threads on their messageboard.

Hopefully you can get sorted out and hopefully we’ll all see each other down there!

Fantasy Footy - Week 8

It’s all change after 8 weeks, with Dave Wynne’s Pheasant Pluckers climbing 5 places to the top spot. Damo’s Dillusionals are nowhere to be seen after plummeting down to 8th. Steve is holding steady in 2nd place, adrift by 17 points with the ironic Mid table obscurity.

Fantasy League Update!

Well, we’ve just passed week three in the fantasy football league and the surprise leaders are Damien Whitehead’s Damo’s Dillusionals heading the table with a total of 145. Although this week was a mediocre one for the Dillusionals (amassing 42 points), they still lead Steve Hodge’s Mid Table Obscurity, who are now a mere point behind after pulling 3 points back.

Congrats to Beccy’s Bullets who had a storming weekend and paved the way by earning 62 points, just pipping Beast, Bands & PJ’s by a single point. In contrast, the big losers this week were Ginger Killers & Millburn-ley, scoring 25 and 21 points respectively. Time to rethink your tactics boys!

Remember, one transfer can be made between each gameweek deadline without charge. Each additional transfer made in the same gameweek will deduct 4 points from your total, unless you use your wildcard (of which you have only one per season) - and then you can make unlimited transfers without any points penalty!

After 3 weeks, this is how we shape up

Dewsbury Meeting

Quick reminder about the impending meet up on the 7th of August.

We’re heading to a new venue and a new town and hopefully this will be as successful as our last meet in Keighley.

Subs as usual please, £2 waged, £1 unwaged and tax dodgers, free if it’s your debut. Would be great to see some new faces and you’ll be made more than welcome.

Flag & Fantasy Football!

We’ve been talking about getting a flag for the Supporters’ Club for some time now and finally, we’re nearly there.

We’ve had the flag designed and it is due to be ready for the first game of the season at Sheffield Wednesday.

Our New Flag

Unfortunately, flags don’t come cheap and although we’ve got enough money from subs to cover half the flag’s cost (£150), we need to raise the cash for the rest. Rather than beg for a donation, we have decided to run a Fantasy Football League with an entrance fee of £5.

Half of the fee will go to paying for the flag, with other half prize money for the League (probably monthly, winner’s and runners-up - but that’s yet to be decided).

We’ve set up a league on http://fantasy.premierleague.com

League Code: 293344-70751

It’s really simple to enter, you have until the eve of the season to get your team selected and can even have the computer auto-select your team, so it couldn’t be easier. Once you’ve registered, please let us know by putting a comment below with your team name included.

Of course, if you do want to contribute to the flag’s cost but can’t be bothered with entering a team, we will happily accept donations however small.

If you can’t pay at either Bradford or Dewsbury, and want to send us a cheque please contact us here:
